Picturing the Recession.

“ readers are sending in their photos from around the world. How do you see the recession playing out in your community? What signs of hardship or resilience stand out? How are you or your family personally affected? Creative ways of documenting the changes around you are encouraged.” Jon Huang, Ben Koski, Andrew Kueneman/The New York Times

I sent in a picture – it is featured here, on page 7 under the category ‘business’.

It’s possible a NYT account is needed to view the page. I’d suggest signing up for one – it’s free. I feel the New York Times is one of the few mainstream publications left that are worth reading regularly. Of particular interest around these parts is the Bitten blog by Mark Bittman – it’s ‘about food — cooking it, eating it, thinking about it and more’.
